::Rockin' the Night Away::

Gyah. So I snapped awake when I heard a super-loud bang, almost explosion-status. And immediately after was the quake. I freaked out. A few minutes later came another bang and another quake.
And now, I am scared to sleep. So I'm here, blogging, since I've neglected to do so.

Yesterday (or, er, Friday) was my graduation. And really, it still hasn't sunk in that I have no school now. Which is a bit odd.
What is up with the high school planning the graduation at the start of a Memorial Day WEEKEND?! Do they not take into consideration those of us coming from an hour away to the school?! I was almost an hour late due to traffic (as well as two detours to pick up guests, but we left in plenty of time). So icky. The traffic.
Er, anyway. I got there. I had a gold cord shoved into my hand. Yay for a 3.0 (or somewhere higher, though lower than 3.5 since I wasn't called up for that, buu).
The ceremony was.. er. Interesting? I dunno, the speeches were great, in my opinion. Some were funny. Others made me dig my nails into my palms because I didn't want to cry. After all, Sheelah was filming this all, and I was in the front row.
There were singers. Two for the national anthem. One of which was good, the other seemingly had stage fright at the last second and barely tried and that made their voices clash and our ears bleed. The same happened with the choir at the end. Some were good, others not so much.
But one girl sang The Climb in the middle of the ceremony and was amazing. Why couldn't she have sung the other songs, hm? Ah, well.
The highlight of this whole thing, other than getting my fake-diploma (I suppose my name is Sample Diploma?), was the amount of people who came for me.
+Mum, of course
+Jordan, thank gooses
+Grandma, who was excited I was graduating on her birthday
+Kai, who was more excited than I
+Vince, who cheered the loudest (er, or I just heard him the best, I dunno)
+Matt, whose card he gave me made me want to cry
+Aunt Dee
+Aunt Cherie and Uncle Chico
+"Aunt" Nancy and John
+KEN, LAURA AND JASON

Now, I haven't seen my brother, Ken, or his wife and son for nearly.. actually, over a year now. And Jason is almost two. He has no clue who I am, just this girl with purple-blue hair. That was sad. But I was so happy they came for me. I totally stopped and ran out of the group of us grads, who were supposed to be exiting at this point, and just.. ditched them all. To hug my brother. It was amazing.
Though, it reminded me that my dad wasn't there. And that was, and still is, painful. He didn't care enough to see me.
That's done with, though. Nothing else to do about it.

Today, or, er, yesterday, Kai and his dad picked me up and we went to San Jose to go to an awesome card shop. I actually saw a Black Lotus. I squeed. I'm silly. Kai sold a few cards to get almost 80$ in store credit, which he used to buy a small stack of cards to almost complete his newest deck. Oh, the shinies.. Oh, the full art.. They are glorious.
We passed right by Fanime, too. Tons of people. Even a Tetris block. Yeah. Beat that.

Later today, my Aunt Cherie and Uncle Chico are treating our immediate family (as well as Kai and their daughter's boyfriend) to dinner for Grandma's birthday at a Japanese restaurant. I wonder vaguely how much Kai will totally pwn my family in speaking, and if anyone there actually speaks Japanese.. Either way--they'll have chopsticks, and Kai won't have to use a knife as his primary eating utensil.

Monday, we'd better be able to see each other. 1 3/4 years. Kanpai!

::The River Monster Returns::

Oi! I've been gone so long, it was getting easier and easier to NOT blog! Ahaha how crazy!
So what was the last I'd left everyone at, hm? Ah yes, utter peril, woe-is-me with pain and basically mental chaos.
THIS HAS ALL CHANGED.
..Except not the pain, but shh it's all good.
Because I will NOT be homeless yet live in a shopping cart. It appears I can pull off miracles and complete tasks way above average through everything. That's right. I AM GRADUATING ON FRIDAY. And everyone's invited. Just, er, if you're coming, latch onto a kid who looks like they have no people. Because--ho shat!--we're only allowed ten guests. Oopsie.
The unofficial summer break so far has been awesome as oh-possums.
I kidnapped Kai and we took a looong trip to Sacramento to attend my Fetus Buddeh's jazz fest performance. She plays oodles of poodles of brass instruments. She can blow that brass like nobody's business. Sheesh. But eh, she came equipped with suspenders and a trumpet for this performance.
EVERYONE IS SO TALENTED. I swear! You'd think these peoples were like, I dunno, in their fifties as far as experience and skill goes. Mind-blowing. Or, at least it seemed that way to me.
My Fetus Buddeh is awesome as an oh-possum and I love her to bits. And she's going to be playing in another jazz fest soon. The one Molly Ringwald will be at. That lucky batch of cookies. I'd have kittens.
Hmmz. So what else happened?
I cried during my portfolio presentation? And that gave me a better score? These teachers must be Froot Loops. But they're awesome anyway. Though they hijacked my binder and drove it to the desk, where I presume it is right now.
OH MY DOG. WILL THEY READ THE CRAPSICLE FIRST-DRAFT SCRIPT?!
The world may never know. Or, it will perhaps. I'll get back to that tomorrow. Er, today. Geez. It's 1:23am. At least it's fun enough to be in order.
Errr oh. Yes. So, Kai is home now. I like this, bunches. It means he is kidnap-able, and also available for any Disastrous shenanigans. If I disappear any more, blame him. Also, look for a tent somewhither close to Livermore.
Shat! What else has happened? It seems like it's been AGES since I've updated this blog (and playlist--I'll do that now, as well as change its auto-play setting to NOTto-play. Er.) and yet.. Nothing's happened. Not really.
Reading everyone's blogs really helps, though, with any funky mindset I get into. Or just for entertainment purposes. Tis very interesting to get a peek into the lives of others, without getting caught up in that stalking business. Very messy stuff, I tell you.

Aw, shat. I must clean up the mess in and about my room. I totally forgot about my attempt at packing earlier.. Well, duty calls.

::Reasons Why::

I have been gone forever. I know this. You know this. The world knows this.
But I have good reason, I swear.
End of the year as an independent study accelerated junior during a period of especially crippling pain from fibro. FUN STUFF.
+Unit 3 of Chemistry
+Unit 4 of Chemistry
+Unit 5 of Chemistry (which is, unfortunately, not an exam unit as usual)
+Community service log mishaps
+PowerPoint summing up my entire life in school thus far
+Obtaining a copy of my transcript
+Obtaining copies of work samples from random classes I don't even know about
+The last bits of the stack of forms for my portfolio
+Resume and cover letter
+Somehow print my (102-page) script when we have no ink for the printer
In three days. THREE DAYS. On top of pain. Or I don't graduate.
I swear, if I make it through this, I am going to throw a party for the IPU (Don't you agree, Du'Pont?).

::Under the Influence!::

Not of drugs, though. Of colourful things. Of cute things. Of fluffy things.
And of books. And fabric. And baking. Oh my dog, I just may explode.
What happened today? Right! It is a Moonday. 月曜日。Yes, I did remember. That bit of Japanese should send a little hint--yes, waking up at 5:45am (after falling asleep around 5) to go to a class that absolutely messes with my mind! Yay! Japanese is pretty cool though. The class was going over particles. Of course, all of us girls already knew it all, and we were doodling on our whiteboards again and idly standing (sitting) by in case we were shot a question.
My whiteboard contained a llama, an invisible orange pink unicorn, a monstrous leech, all of katakana at least once, and a good (new) portion of my script.
And then I was asked a question.
「葵さん、上はなんですか。」
OH SHAT. I had just learned this with Kai. I literally did a face-desk. It really hurt, and it was really loud. Miyu, of course, giggled as usual. Takada-sensei asked if I was all right--as if I were an escaped hippopotamus with rabies wearing a tutu. So I had explained I had just learned all of these prepositional kanji two days ago. And then.. everyone went quiet. More quiet. Meh.
So now they think I'm a kitty-eared, pink-haired, Japanese-genius freak. It's an improvement.
Then a break. Lunch. Wanting to shoot myself after two--TWO--painstakingly long phone conversations with my grandma.
And then Music! Yay! Right?
Wrong. Apparently the school has decided to have a "talent showcase" and OF COURSE Mr. Courtright has made it known that this is mandatory for all of us in his class. WHAT?! What's worse yet, he just gave us sheet music today which we must master by the showcase on the 30th. Excuse me. No. I do not DO Hook's "Minuet", no matter how easy it is. Can't I do Perfectly Flawed? Why not?! Buu.

AAANYWAY, the positives:
+4 more pages of my screenplay today.
+Did not fall asleep in either class.
+Got a lot of compliments on my hair.
+Random urge to work on my ridiculous English course--finished a unit and then some.

So, say yay for the psychotic senior?
Hopefully I can go to the fabric store to make Dexter's neko mimi.
OH YEAH. I totally just remembered a large portion of my day I wanted to say here. So, I've written an 18 Before 18 list, and one of my goals is to read a book a week until then. But I've no money! And no (safe) library! So, I asked my old pal, Sedona, what I should do.
Oh, duh. Paperback Swap.
Double score: people have listed textbooks Kai and I are going to need next semester. For 1 Book Credit? Heck yes.

::Is That a Kitty?::

No, in fact, it was/is an otter. Sadly.
Anyway! Today was/is the thirteenth. I got to spend mooost of the day fully with Kai. It was amazing. Not only the morning, then later Magic (even though the only time I won was because he made a mistake and even said so.. >_>)..
But! Today was/is Reception Day! For all the new Otters. You know how it is. So basically most of it was a waste of time. Kai just took Mum and I around CSUMB and gave us a mini-tour. It was good enough. Then we ended up at the TAT building, and I am SO glad we did.
Not just because of the hat order, either.
The presentation for Teledramatic Arts and Technology completely made me change my mind. See, I was the ONLY Integrated Studies Special Major out of nearly seven hundred incoming freshmen.. but now I want to declare TAT as my official major. Because it is awesome. More awesome than OH-possums, and that is just not even possible. Physics says so. "Physics" is singular because it is a singular subject, nyan?
Anyway, I am now absolutely excited to just skip the whole summer and go straight into what I seriously hope are going to be the best years of my life. Everyone says they'll be. All cliché-y and such. But really, I am very excited to begin learning how to get the horror stories out of my head.. which sounds a lot worse than it actually is.
And I really, really hope there will be some fellow Harry Potter enthusiasts in my year. Hufflepuffs, preferably. But we'll see.

::Peacocks::

I am finding myself more and more annoyed and hate-filled, like I was last time. Also like last time, I am not saying anything. So that's not helping.
Anyway, today was school. Only Takada was sick and we had a sub who knew nothing at all about Japanese, so we basically played around and it was really weird and review-ish. This is after Lytle came out and sternly talked to me for the first time, because L said we could leave after signing in. Nothing was going right.
So, after the strange non-Japanese Japanese class, Mum and I went back into Tracy to kill some time.. then went back to school for my music class.
Today it was actually interesting, and I was very pleased. Though, Courtright tried taking my hat a few times, which is not very nice when you don't want all these amazing musicians seeing your disgusting flat hair.
Alexis and I decided not to work on our normal guitar and bass, instead sitting at the keyboard and trying to trip up our fingers doing scales in a particular way. And then there was the listening to hardcore Japanese metal that was amazing while Courtright wasn't looking. We (Alexis and I) talked the whole time about random Japanese things, from manga to fashion to capsule hotels to dancing squid. It was all rather fun.
Then it was time to go to BN, where I began emailing my aunt about quilting and got help and such. And then, out of nowhere, Zak popped up. So we spent about, hm, an hour writing a basic script and going over different scenarios for said script. We ended up with a twisted short scene where a rabid rabbit--well, I won't get that far. We ARE going to film it, after all.
After that, it was all fun again with the walking and the ranting and the walking and the Sour Patch Kids and the walking and the kitties and the walking.. Did I mention the walking? I swear, by the time we reached Costco we had to have at least walked like five miles. Which is a lot for the both of us.
Aaand then he had to randomly leave again. And then I left.
And here I am, feeling annoyed and not satisfied, yet again.
I am now caught between wanting time to speed up and wanting to just sleep forever and never live a real life again. I feel worthless. Again.
So that's all I have to say about that.
Now, back to figuring out how to do this.. paper.. piecing.. thingy. Either that, or start writing some of the script as a rough draft/proposal. Just have to keep my mind busy is all..

::Distracted Again::

I set out to do tons of English today.. and then got distracted by various science articles. Ouch.
Anyway, not much happened today, like, at all. I did Lilith's Flying lesson, stressed about a couple of things in real life, and.. sat here on the couch.
The payment still didn't go through, so I still can't apply for housing (and I'm still waiting for Kai to tell me what is on the application like he said he would when he got back to his dorm like two days ago) and I wonder when it WILL go through.. I really hope that the only hold-up is that the check needs to be cleared, and that tomorrow, I will get my email and all will be well..
It's another day closer to the reception, and another day closer to August. Also, another day closer to my birthday, which I haven't been really looking forward to, but now I'm thinking of it in a whole new way. Being sixteen isn't as sweet as everyone makes it out to be; but hopefully my seventeenth year will be exceedingly amazing and it will make up for all of the bad times.
That is all I have to say about that.

::Hm.::

So far, today isn't too bad. I took the Japanese final, with Miyu looking over my shoulder and giggling and erasing my wrong answers the whole time. She is cute--almost fully living in the "Japanese" stereotype we hold here in America, with cute girls who overact and say everything cutely and bounce around like cute.. things-that-are-cute. Yeah.
Um. Anyway. Now I owe her a hat. And the group of druggies that hang outside Building C were shouting at me to give them all hats. Um. No.
So after my final, I waited for about an hour to give Takada-sensei time to grade my final and update my semester grade. Then I went to the office to request my transcript. That set off a whole chain of events that named me as The Girl Faster Than Liz. Now, this is a really big deal. Liz was thee best student at DCHS before she graduated--and all the teachers talk about her ALL THE TIME. Which makes me really want to meet her..
Anyway. Transcript. Out. Colleges. Mailed. Emails. Sent. Hands. Still twitchy. Bah..
I hope my email doesn't still show up as spam on Mollen's email.. thingy. Yes. Thingy.
Including today, I have eleven days to do a complete semester of Chemistry, which I despise. Because it is online. And not Kirchner.
Yay for being busy!

::Disgusting Repetition::

Writing, writing, writing.
Schoolwork schoolwork schoolwork.
Writing writing writing.
Carrot, carrot, carrot.
Ice cream ice cream ice cream.
Writing, writing, writing.

Kai leaving, Kai leaving, Kai leaving.

At least I'm really good at writing hiragana and katakana now.
Finished Econ with a 99. Niemi is being freakish again, his head being filled with "sophist argumentation" and whatnot. He's in Malibu with the Debate team. I hope they win. They really are awesome.
Hm, so I woke up this morning first, kitty-less. Or would it be "kittyless"? Or "kittiless"? Something.. The point is, ChristoFUR was not warming my tummy or suffocating me. Second, my mum told me to hurry up and get ready because Grandma and we were going to lunch and grocery shopping.
Third and worst, I woke up to the first day of Kai being gone. I keep feeling the darkness of depression trying to seep in. I'm fighting it.
Fighting, fighting, fighting.
We ended up going to La Pinata, except not, because it needs a ~ over the n and also the La Pinata in our area is La Pin-squiggle-ata 2. Yes, I know the real name for said squiggle, but I just like saying "squiggle", thanks.
Pork, beans, cheese (and some random mild peppers and onions that burned my throat viciously) all wrapped in a too-crispy flour tortilla. Their burritos are huge, I swear.
I didn't really feel up to shopping. I got another hat order from a random waitress, and that made me want to sew--and that made me realise I have no time, as I must first get my school stuff straight to not be an Epic Fail and miss out on a year of college, even though that is where I am supposed to be. But I don't like making things easier, now do I?
I was dropped off.
Listened to the Alternative Music channel on TV. Made a huge list of every artist I heard, which I'd post here if only I had not not-capitalised them.
And I finished Econ. And started the process of disgusting repetition to practice Japanese for my final this week. It really does help.
See?
..This reminds me this was the only picture I took today that means anything. Oh well.
I really miss Kai. It is only his first day back, too. And sadly the mysterious disappearances are beginning, which I'll have to get used to again, without the added pain of darkness. Because that is just stupid.

I have decided to add a new part to my entries. A to-do list. Those are fun, hm?

To-Do List:
+Finish Kai's mum's friend's pillow
+Drop off said pillow
+Bake Matt his late-as-hell birthday cupcake
+Drop off said cupcake
+Make it to school without keeling over
+Japanese: PAY ATTENTION AND PRACTICE. And this does not mean repeating everything Miyu tells me to. At least when Takada-sensei isn't asking me.
+Study for the Japanese final with Angie on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, if possible
+Take said Japanese final
+Go see Niemi and be afraid of his surprise for me (which I really hope is an acceptable pass for Chemistry--or at least the labs) and also remind him that I need to have my transcript updated and sent to CSUMB and CSUS by Friday. Because I doubt that even though the deadline is the first, they will take it on a Sunday.
+Rush to Music, with my tail between my legs, and mumble some excuse for not practicing bass much (poor Skittles, she hates dust--not Dustin) and ask for the final
+Take said final
+Send in transcript to colleges
+Go to eye appointment--do not blind self or stab eyes out before then
+Take more pictures
+DO NOT STRESS

..It's short, no?
..No.

::Sad, Lonely, Fantasising of Impaling..::

Me? No, not me. Today I was with Kai. Or, this evening and night. I really can't wait for it to be every night..
Anyway, I guess I'm back to Econ and FASFA, and oh-my-dog-I-have-Japanese-tomorrow.. It's not that I don't like Japanese, because I do, and I can't wait until I am somehow magically fluent in it.. I'm just dreading catching up. And talking to.. whatever her name is. Japanese Two girl, who is also somehow magically fluent even though she is only in her second year. But then again, Miyu is in my class and she just came here from Japan a few months ago. Though.. Angela?.. is American. From what I can see. Or saw. That one time.
Maybe Sheila can be my tutor. She's a kid genius. Wait, that's not fair. She is fourteen. But she is awesome. And she screams at her younger sisters in the morning, "すこし!" Just for the sake of being just a bit Japanese.

::No School!::

Tis true. I am home just because going out to Tracy only for one hour is not worth driving for two.
So I shall be cramming for my Hiragana test.
And more History.
And yeah.
I don't know whether I've given up on NaNo or not. I mean, I don't want to. But I somehow can't get words out. It's frustrating.
And now I'm behind by four thousand words again.
Sigh.
I should go see Matt today. But out somewhere, like the mall. Yeah! That's it!
I think I'll go do stuff now.

::Oh No, I Gone Done Wronged Myself..::

So apparently my SAT test date isn't the 14th--it's tomorrow. Oh ho ho, this is vury bad news, seeing as I did nothing in preparation except procrastinate at writing my novel and read many chapters of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.. and now, blog.
Mum is out. She's at the store buying stew and cupcakes and garlic bread. If I catch her in time with my text, she'll bring home some Otter Pops for my throat.
I'm still sick with the flu-ish thing! Wewt!
Anyway, can anyone tell me who I imitated in my title?
..
..
..
That's right. Bruce. Well, the bee. Mayor Bee, Mayor Bee!
Ooh, I haven't sewn in a while. You know, all, with Christmastime coming up and all, now would be the perfect time to place some orders for some snuggly kitty hats! I have some new colours and prints; just drop me a line if you or a friend is interested!

..Oh. I'm vury behind in my novels. As in, over 20,000 words behind. Plus I need to be doing History. Oh, but I'm still reading..
Shh. It'll all be okay.

::"Sorry"::

I really, really hate that word.
Anyway.
I've been reading Harry Potter all day. Finished about the last 100 pages of Goblet of Fire and I'm now 157 pages into Order of the Phoenix.
I should be writing more for NaNo, but no.. I have been too lazy to get my laptop, which Mum brought to me just a few minutes ago, so I decided to blog before writing.
I got my San Francisco State University ID. I haven't been accepted quite yet, but at least I haven't been turned away quite yet.
I just want the three colleges to send me my letters already, no matter the outcomes. I just want to know.
So I slept mostly all of yesterday, from 1pm until 7am this morning. I had quite a few dreams, none of which I can remember expect the one where I was dating a rather attractive young woman from New York.
Okay, then, better get hurrying off to "class". If I finish at least a couple hours and log it all, then I won't feel so bad for blowing off the rest of the night for writing, see.

::*Rubs Eyes Wearily*::

I wrote 1511 words for Metempsychosis. I realise that it's turning out better than I thought back yesterday when I couldn't write a damn thing. Here's an excerpt:

"Aren't you done yet?" I dropped the PJ's I was tucking into my large suitcase.
Alex was leaning against the doorframe, his dark hair hanging over his eyes and
his lips tugging again at a comfortable smirk. My heart, for some freakish
reason, began to race.
"Erm," I began, willing my tongue to start working
again, "Nearly. Just have to throw in some non-clothing stuff now," I mumbled,
forcing myself to shove the PJ's into the luggage.
His eyes twinkled. "You
better hurry up, slowpoke," he teased, "Mum and Dad are here. They want to leave
soon." He laughed musically, good-naturedly, before turning and walking away,
leaving me still on the floor, a large fistful of socks in my hand. Who was I
kidding?
I still had plenty of underwear to pack.

Like? Nyeh. It's a bit of very obvious foreshadowing.

"I sneezed and then got hurt in a place that makes no sense."

Quote without context for the morning.

I'm in a really bright mood. I think it's because I feel I've done something good today..

Okay, I'm off now to tell my EC I'm not going to make it to our meeting.

So, in er.. about five hours, I've done:
+One unit of Government.
+The last half of a unit of English.
+About a fifth of a unit of U.S. History.

So I feel accomplished. Now, off to write another 1667 of Metempsychosis and another 2734 of Zed-Word Adventures. Which still isn't my title. But it's getting there.
Let's hope today's writing isn't as painful as yesterday. That was awful.
